How Code Pack works
What is Code Pack?
Code Pack is a modular bag system built around the Sidekick Sling. Start with the bag, choose a strap, add a travel kit, then personalise it with charms and patches. It's designed to grow and change with your kid instead of getting replaced every season.
How does the modular system work?
Every setup starts with the Sidekick Sling bag. From there you choose one of three straps (Scrunchie, Adventurer, or Explorer) to change the look, add a Travel Kit (Games, Ouchie, or Creative) to fill it with a purpose, then clip on charms or patches to make it their own. Mix and match anytime — nothing is locked together permanently.
What ages is Code Pack designed for?
Code Pack is designed for kids aged 5 and up. Some kit contents include small parts (pencils, stickers, game pieces) and are not intended for children under 3.
Do I have to buy everything at once?
No. You can start with just the Sidekick Sling and build from there over time, or grab one of our Ready-to-Go Packs which bundle the bag, a strap, and a kit together in one purchase.
What's the difference between building my own pack and buying a Ready-to-Go Pack?
Building your own lets you choose every piece — bag colour, strap, kit, and add-ons. A Ready-to-Go Pack is a pre-selected bundle (like the Sidekick Starter, Traveller Pack, or Full Pack) that gets you set up in one click at a bundle price.
The Sidekick Sling Bag
What is the Sidekick Sling made of?
The Sidekick Sling is made from water-resistant polyester with a structured shape, YKK zippers, and multiple internal and external pockets for organising kit contents and everyday essentials.
What colours does the Sidekick Sling come in?
The Sidekick Sling is currently available in Royal Blue and Iceberg Blue. Availability rotates with new drops, so check the product page for current colours in stock.
Is the Sidekick Sling waterproof?
It's water-resistant, not fully waterproof — it'll handle spills, light rain, and everyday knocks, but it isn't designed for submersion or heavy, prolonged rain.
What can fit inside the Sidekick Sling?
The bag is sized to hold one Travel Kit (Games, Ouchie, or Creative) alongside everyday items like a water bottle, snacks, or a small toy. Kits sit inside the bag alongside the strap — they don't replace anything.
Can I use the Sidekick Sling without a Travel Kit?
Yes. The bag works on its own as an everyday crossbody — the kits are optional add-ons for trips, waiting rooms, or long car rides.
Is the Sidekick Sling only for kids?
It's designed and sized for kids aged 5+, though the crossbody style and adjustable strap mean it can suit smaller teens and adults who like a compact everyday sling too.
Straps, charms, and personalising your Pack
What straps are available and what's the difference?
There are three straps: the Scrunchie Strap (soft, fabric-covered, made for a playful look), the Adventurer Strap (built for outdoor, everyday durability), and the Explorer Strap (a simple, lightweight everyday option). All three are fully compatible with the Sidekick Sling.
Can I swap straps whenever I want?
Yes — that's the whole point of the system. Straps click on and off the Sidekick Sling so you can switch the look in seconds, whether that's for a new season, a new interest, or just a new mood.
Are straps sold separately from the bag?
The Sidekick Sling comes with the bag itself and Explorer Strap; additional straps, kits, charms, and patches are all sold separately so you can build the combination you want.
How do the charms and patches attach?
Snap-on charms clip directly onto the strap or bag zip pulls. Embroidered patches are self-adhesive and press directly onto the fabric — no sewing required.
Are the charms randomised, or can I pick a design?
Snap-on charms are sold as a random pack, so the specific designs are part of the surprise. Alphabet charms are sold individually if you want a specific initial.
Will straps and charms fit older or newer versions of the Sidekick Sling?
Yes. All straps, charms, and patches are designed to be compatible across the Sidekick Sling range, including all current colourways.
Ready-to-go-Packs
What's included in a Ready-to-Go Pack?
Each Pack pairs the Sidekick Sling with a matching strap and Travel Kit at a bundled price. Options include the Sidekick Starter, the Traveller Pack, and the Full Pack — each with a different strap and kit combination.
What's the difference between the Sidekick Starter, Traveller Pack, and Full Pack?
The Sidekick Starter is the entry bundle (bag, strap, and starter charm). The Traveller Pack adds a Travel Kit to that combination for trips and outings. The Full Pack is the most complete bundle, combining the bag, a strap, and multiple kit options. Check each pack's product page for the exact strap and kit included, since bundle contents rotate with availability.
Can I customise what's in a Ready-to-Go Pack?
Ready-to-Go Packs come as fixed bundles at a set price.
Are bundles cheaper than buying each piece separately?
Yes — Ready-to-Go Packs are priced at a bundle discount compared to purchasing the bag, strap, and kit individually.
Sizing, ages & care
What age range is Code Pack designed for?
Code Pack products are designed for kids aged 5 and up to adults.
How do I clean the Sidekick Sling?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry only. Do not machine wash or tumble dry — this can affect the shape and water-resistant coating.
How do I care for the straps?
Straps can generally be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Avoid machine washing to protect the strap hardware and any fabric detailing.
Are kit contents safe for kids?
Kit contents (pencils, stickers, bandages, sanitiser, etc.) are everyday, kid-appropriate items, but as with any small parts or consumables, we recommend adult supervision for children under 5.
How much does the Sidekick Sling hold?
It's built as a compact everyday crossbody — sized to comfortably fit one Travel Kit plus small essentials like a water bottle, snack, or toy, not as an overnight or school bag.
Returns, exchanges & order changes
What's your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window from the date you receive your item. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging, with proof of purchase.
How do I start a return?
Contact us at buddy@mycodepack.com to request a return. We'll confirm eligibility and send you return instructions and a shipping label — items sent back without a return request first won't be accepted.
How long do refunds take?
Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Bank or card processing times may add a few extra days on top of that.
Can I exchange a kit or strap for a different one?
The fastest way is to return the original item for a refund, then place a new order for the item you'd prefer — this ensures you get the exact strap, colour, or kit you want without waiting on stock holds.
Are kits and consumable items returnable?
Kits that have been opened or used aren't eligible for return, since their contents (pencils, stickers, bandages, wipes) are single-use. Unopened, unused kits in original packaging can be returned within the 30-day window.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Since we process orders quickly, changes or cancellations are only possible within a short window after purchase. Contact us as soon as possible at buddy@mycodepack.com and we'll do what we can before it ships.
Do you cover return shipping costs?
Return shipping is generally the customer's responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect — in which case we'll cover it.
Orders, payments & gifting
Can I send a Code Pack as a gift?
Yes — select the gift option at checkout to include a personalised message. Gift receipts don't show pricing, just the item details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, PayPal, Shop Pay, Union Pay, and Visa.
Will I be charged tax on my order?
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping location and applicable local tax laws.
